Categories: Communities

I have a set of communities that I have with me eg: a list of High Schools, now say User 4 needs to select their high school and it's not listed, is there a Java Script/Ajax or php whichever way, that can allow the user to type the category term , and it's automatically added (in alphabetical order) to the existing communities list? Thanks
