What Modules Do I start With?

I want to create a private social networking community for a family website using drupal. Ater installing Drupal 5, what mods and other drupal things should I install?

I found the tutorial http://shellmultimedia.com/tutorials/user-profiles-version-1. It looks like exactly what I need. A place to start.

Ugh, no, don't start with that outdated thing. There's a starter list at SocNet that will give you a much better start.

I installed drupal 5.7 via Simple Scripts. I downloaded the Module zip file from your SocNet site. Between Work and school I will install the Mods.
