Hi Michelle in 1 and 2 you used Nodeprofile and then all of a sudden in AdvProfile you went on to use Bio Is there any technaical reason for this , or it's just a matter of choice also will Nodeprofile still produce the same effects?

Bio has improved

I chose nodeprofile over bio last May because bio was missing some critical (for me) features. In that time, bio has greatly improved and it is now a cleaner and simpler module to work with. I do intend to write the code to make it work with nodeprofile as well as write the docs for converting for people who already have sites using the tutorial. Whichever way you go, your data will be fine as both nodeprofile and bio let you specify what node type to work with.

Could you please explain

on admin/build/module

I see the following

Functions for using Nodeprofile with Advanced Profile
Depends on: Nodeprofile (missing), Advanced Profile (disabled)

Should I ignore the Nodeprofile dependency listed there?

thanks

No...

That's for the nodeprofile_helper module. Yes it depends on nodeprofile. No it doesn't work, yet. I still need to write the relationship code for it.
