Revamping the site

Submitted by SuperAdmin on Wed, 08/22/2007 - 14:39

This site has been sitting at a pretty much unmodified Drupal install because I don't really have a lot of time to work on it. At least it's a Drupal site, though. (That's a dig at Webchick ;). Anyway, I finally decided to move off Garland, even if it was just to another contrib theme. This is LiteJazz, which is a promising new theme from RoopleTheme (the link's in the footer). I'll probably personalize it a bit at some point but, for now, it's just the stock theme.

I also installed the views module (yes, this site actually has gone all this time without views!) and cleaned up the sidebar. I now have a recent articles block so you can see the newest stuff I've written as opposed to all the forum support requests which are now in their own block. That also makes it easier for me to grab a link to a tutorial to give someone on IRC instead of having to go to admin content and find it. LOL

I've also started version 3 of my ever popular user profiles tutorial. I went through all the comments and made a list of things that need to be corrected or clarified and am slowly working on it. Unfortunately that doesn't help all of you with unanswered support questions that needed help yesterday, but I'm doing my best. I'm going to make the appeal again to those of you who have successfully implemented the tutorial: please try and answer some of the questions.

Hello

Thanks for your great tutorial, i follow your tutorial, but i can succed to have what i want, or what you get in result, the field group doesn't show in my profile page, but its just begining, i am waiting for you next tutorial, one thing that i want to do, is to make all the content available from the current user to a page, for now, i can make this by views for current user, every user connected can have his own "my blog" "my photo" that display all his content with editing link, i want to achieve something similar so i can have all the last photos, blogs contents listed in the profile page, another suggestion, i really get lost in your website, looking for some new information, its more user friendly for this great tutorial to be in drupal groups, i suggest creating new group, thanks a lot for your effort
